The RCMP is looking for the man who robbed a store in Kelowna Monday night.

It happened just after 9:30 p.m. in a store on the 2400 block of Highway 97 North.

According to the RCMP, the suspect entered the store and allegedly preferred a handgun before demanding cash.

After the employee complied with his demands, he fled the scene with an unknown amount of money.

“Fortunately, no one was injured in this robbery, but the worker was extremely shocked by the incident,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Nose worthy.

Despite a thorough search of the area, the suspect was not found, leading the RCMP to reach out to the public for help.

<p dir=He is described as a Caucasian male approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and with a slender stature.

At the time, he wore a red and black checked shirt, a dark toque, sunglasses and a red bandana over his mouth.
