West Kelowna’s multisport dome will be completed this month

The city of West Kelowna received an update on the dome in the council this week

The brand new multisport dome in West Kelowna is due to be completed in the next few weeks.

The city council was briefed on the $ 4.1 million facility earlier this week. The construction and installation of the dome, lawn and washrooms have reportedly been completed. The system is on the way to being handed over to the city in mid-October.

A major opening event for the dome is planned for early November.

Last month, the city council, along with members of the Westside Youth Soccer Association, got a glimpse of the facility, which contributed $ 667,000 to build the dome.

Ahhh, that’s exciting! The roof was raised on our new multisport dome today! We can hardly wait! It may take a few more weeks to finish. But just think, field sports will soon be played indoors in West KelownaCity this fall and winter! pic.twitter.com/ErwLgt4eRN
