If you live in West Kelowna and you notice slight discoloration in your water this week, simply run your cold water tap until it is clear.

- Including Ross, Brentwood and Ponderosa Roads and the surrounding area
- Including Mount Boucherie Secondary, Hudson Road Elementary, West Kelowna City Hall, Jim Lind Arena and Royal LePage Place

When flushing with water main, flowing water flows at high speed to remove accumulated sediment from the pipe, hence the discoloration.
If residents notice any discoloration in any area after the flush is complete, it is recommended that the cold faucet run for 20 minutes or until the water runs clear.
If conditions persist, residents are encouraged to call West Kelowna City Utilities at 778-797-2246.
