James Wood was last seen walking out of his apartment on the 2000 block of Peters Road in West Kelowna at 1:45 p.m. on November 8, 2021.

“The day James went missing, he was not dressed appropriately for the elements and the weather turned colder,” said Cpl. Tammy lobb. “We ask residents of the 2000 block of Peters Road to check their properties, sheds and outbuildings in case James finds shelter.”

An extensive search has been conducted by Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) and the West Kelowna RCMP since James went missing. A soil search around James’ residence was completed and teams of dogs helped locate the parks and wilderness areas James is known for. A helicopter from RCMP Air Services and COSAR air forces also supported the search from the air. For the time being, COSAR has stopped the active search until further information is available on how to continue the search.
