Several people on both sides were beaten and injured in a confrontation between a group of teenage boys and a group of adults in West Kelowna on Sunday evening (August 9).
The RCMP West Kelowna received a report around 5:30 p.m. of a physical altercation involving several people along Pritchard Drive.
“After examining the conversation with the people involved as well as on-site witnesses and reviewing videos showing part of the incident, it was found that both groups challenged each other, which resulted in a physical altercation,” said Const. Solana Pare.
People from both groups were treated on site by paramedics.
In a now-deleted Facebook post, Jenn Lamont shared her side of the story – and her frustration with the RCMP response.
She claimed that her husband Monti Rosenbaum and boyfriend Scott Pridmore were outside on her deck when they heard children outside “screaming and cursing and causing problems”.

After asking the guys to keep it down, she said things were getting out of hand.
Lamont, who was at the grocery store, came home to find the teenagers and her husband in a physical altercation.
“We drove to the crime scene where these guys attacked my husband and boyfriend, and my five-year-old daughter was traumatized,” she wrote on her Facebook.
At that point Lamont began filming the incident, but one of the children grabbed her cell phone.
“I chased him and one of the others tripped me and threw me on the sidewalk,” she wrote.
Lamont, Rosenbaum, and Pridmore all sustained injuries, including blue eyes and cuts, during the confrontation.
When the RCMP arrived, Lamont said the officers were of little help, claiming she had been told the children could not be charged “because they are minors”.
“The moral of the story is that these kids can attack you in broad daylight and get away with it. And if I take revenge, they can incriminate me. Something is very flawed with this system. ”She wrote.
Despite the woman’s claims, Const. Any person aged 12 or over can be charged with criminal charges if there is evidence of a criminal act.
Pare said the incident is still being investigated.
