West Kelowna Elementary School reports COVID-19 exposure

Inner health will haunt those who may be exposed through contact tracing

Interior Health (IH) reported a COVID-19 exposure event at a school in West Kelowna.

The health department announced January 11 that the virus was exposed at Hudson Road Elementary.

According to IH, everyone is now self-isolating and has access to support from local health teams. IH is now pursuing others who may have been exposed.

Hudson Road Elementary will be added to the list of schools and school communities that have had COVID-19 exposures and cases since classes resumed for the new year.

Over the weekend, the Central Okanagan School District (SD 23) also announced expositions at three other schools: Okanagan Mission Secondary, Kelowna Secondary, and Mount Boucherie Senior Secondary.

For a full list of school events in the Interior Health area, see the BCCDC website.
