WFN said the design would be painted on a local apartment complex and showcase traditional and contemporary Syilx artwork in the community.

With the design, WFN also asks the Syilx artists to present the environment as it was before the contact.

Interested artists can email or on paper submit their contributions to the West Bank First Nation at 101-515 Highway 97 South in Kelowna.

The closing date for entries is January 9 at 2:00 p.m. The winner will receive their order by January 16.

Just last month, the WFN unveiled freshly painted artwork around the renovated Sənsisyustən House of Learning Center.

Further information on the project can be found on the WFN website.
