A man made a wild ride from Summerland to Kelowna Tuesday afternoon, ramming into several vehicles and wreaking havoc in general, RCMP said.

West Kelowna and Kelowna RCMP were informed shortly after 1 p.m. on March 30 that an unpredictable driver in a silver BMW car was headed for West Kelowna from the Summerland area, according to an RCMP media release.

The suspect vehicle allegedly refused to stop for police in South Okanagan and was reportedly driving in a dangerous manner.

The vehicle pulled into Kelowna, drove dangerously further, and hit numerous parked vehicles downtown.

Given the danger to the public, RCMP officials stopped the vehicle on KLO Road near Lowe Street. The male driver was taken into custody at the time.

The officers try to locate all damaged vehicles and objects.

RCMP urges all concerned to call 250-762-3300 and cite the file 2021-17724.
