With a ground-breaking ceremony on the books, construction of Kelowna’s largest and tallest development is officially underway. At 24, 28 and 42 storeys, the three-tower Water Street by the Park development will redefine the skyline with the tallest tower in BC’s Interior (442 ft./132.7 m) and expansive views of Okanagan Lake, as well as mountain and valley views.
The multi-phase development next to Kelowna City Park in the heart of downtown Kelowna will be a 559,000-sq.ft. mixed-use development featuring 650 residential condominiums and 45,000 sq. ft. of retail and office space. The project is being led by Anthony Beyrouti and Apriano Meola, co-founders of Orchard Park Properties, with Amega Group as the general contractor, engineering from the firm Glotman and Reinbold, and featuring concepts and designs by Ciccozzi Architecture.
At street level, the podium of each tower will provide street-facing commercial space, which the developers say will become home to numerous boutiques, cafes, and other retailers and service providers.
“I want to congratulate Orchard Park Properties for their vision and perseverance and wish them all the best as construction begins,” said Kelowna’s deputy mayor Gail Given. “Water Street by the Park is an impressive example of their commitment to this city and this community and I’m sure that, once completed, this development and the families that will call it home, will make an important contribution to Kelowna’s stature as one of Canada’s most livable cities.”
“For us, building Kelowna’s largest residential development represents an opportunity to make a lasting and meaningful contribution to this city and this neighborhood,” said Beyrouti. “Kelowna is such an amazing city. We feel privileged to be here and build homes that will provide residents with a lifetime of opportunities to enjoy and appreciate Kelowna’s natural beauty, healthy lifestyle and its growing entertainment, dining, shopping and recreation offerings.”
“Just a few years ago, we fell in love with this site and its incredible potential,” said Meola. “It’s been exciting to share our vision with the home buyers that have made Water Street by the Park the fastest selling development in Kelowna history and one of the hottest real estate offerings in Canada.”
The first units are expected to be ready for occupancy in late 2025.
