Two new flames spark in the Kamloops Fire Center
One fire is northwest of Lillooet and the other is north of Cache Creek
Two new forest fires are reported at the Kamloops Fire Center.
Both flames were reported on Wednesday (July 22nd).
The Gun Lake Road flame, located between Carpenter Lake and Downton Lake, northwest of Lillooet, is approximately 1 acres.
While the fire burns north of Cache Creek near the Bonapart River, it is also 0.01 hectares in size.
The cause of the fires is not yet known.
A third fire, discovered on July 21 near Princeton on Mathew Creek, covers approximately 4 acres. It is believed that the flame was caused by humans.
The 28 hectares. According to the BC Wildfire Service, a fire is being held in Skuhun Creek, which is 45 kilometers east of Merritt.
