RCMP is investigating a knife wipe in downtown Kelowna on the green space between Stuart Park at the Cactus Club.

The police are investigating Friday evening for two knife stabbing in downtown Kelowna.

RCMP was called to Blocks 1300 and 1400 of Water Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. on June 4 for a report of several fighting in the park area between Stuart Park and the Cactus Club Restaurant.

Officials found two victims, both 19-year-old men, with non-life-threatening stab wounds. Both were treated in the hospital.

“At this point in time, no arrests have been made and the investigation is being led by the Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section,” says Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey, spokesman for the RCMP Southeast District.

“This area of downtown Kelowna is often quite busy well into the evening, and GIS investigators believe there were probably more witnesses to this knife stabbing incident who haven’t come forward. We ask anyone who has information about this incident to contact the police. “

Anyone or any company with video surveillance cameras in the area or any motorists with a dash camera who may have driven through this part of downtown are asked to review their Friday night footage. Anyone who may have captured a cell phone video of the altercation is encouraged to contact the police immediately at 250-762-3300.
