It could be a funky little entry-level condo downtown.

Or a house in the mountains with a stunning pool and views of Lake Okanagan.

Or the ultimate multi-million dollar mansion right on Lake Okanagan.

All types of Kelowna properties will be featured in four episodes of the upcoming third season with 13 episodes of the House Hunter TV show Realty Reality.

The format in which home buyers tour three properties with a local real estate agent to select one was made famous by HGTV’s Home Hunters series.

The franchise is so popular that it has been spun off multiple times with titles like House Hunters International, Island Hunters, House Hunters Million Dollar Home, Tiny House Hunters, and House Hunters: Off the Grid.

The first two seasons of Realty Reality, starring Kelowna and local Royal LePage real estate agent Petrina Koltun, as well as real estate agents and real estate in Victoria and Vancouver, were produced by Cedarwood Productions of Victoria. They were broadcast on CHEK-TV in Victoria.

In the third season, Cedarwood has teamed up with Visland Media of Kelowna as a co-producer and distributor

Visland has big plans for Realty Reality.

In addition to CHEK in Victoria, negotiations are in progress with another unnamed Canadian broadcaster to broadcast season 3.

Visland is also buying the series internationally and is hoping to get a deal to broadcast in other countries.

“It was a breeze for us to get involved,” said Alex Miller, Visland CEO. “It’s a fantastic show. We took the chance to work directly with Cedarwood on the latest episodes. “

The four episodes in Kelowna with Koltun will be shot in September, but will not be broadcast until September 2017.

“I’m so excited to be back for season three,” said Koltun. “I had a lot of fun working on the first two seasons and can’t wait for production to begin.”

Cedarwood executive producer Karen Davies is excited to have Koltun back.

“There’s a reason Petrina is the first host we’ve announced for the coming season,” she said. “She has so much personality and the audience absolutely loves her. She was the obvious choice. “

Some of the third season episodes will be filmed in Calgary to expand the audience, distribution and advertiser base to Alberta.

Cedarwood also produces the Flavors of the West Coast foodie show which airs on CHEK.

Visland produced the Buskers travel series about street artists around the world. A distribution agreement is concluded for international broadcasting.
