Tree of Hope’s fundraiser for Youngster Advocacy Middle in Kelowna surpasses $ 100,000 goal

After a difficult year, the residents of Central Okanagan were still showing their good giving this holiday season.

Today the Kelowna Child Advocacy Center and Tree of Hope announced that it has met and exceeded its $ 100,000 commitment to donate to the CAC.

“We are delighted that our initial $ 100,000 pledge was not only met but exceeded by our great community,” said Ken Stober, President of the Stober Foundation.

Because of the overwhelming generosity so far, the Tree of Hope is extending the promise and will continue to raise funds for the CAC through January 5th.

<p dir=“There’s so much more going on here than just raising money. We really hope and we want the CAC to continue doing what they are doing,” added Stober.

“We want them to keep raising money for the vulnerable children they serve, and we will continue to support and support them on their journey.”

Cinny executive director Ginny Becker said she was preparing an announcement regarding reaching the $ 100,000 goal when she received an unexpected phone call about continuing donations.

“I cannot put into words what this means for every third child in our community who has been affected by abuse and neglect,” she said.

“This is monumental, especially given the complicated circumstances of this unusual year.”
