The Telemark Nordic Club in West Kelowna will host the 2020 Teck BC Provincial Championships from March 6-8, 2020.

Around 500 cross-country skiers will take part in free techniques, classic techniques and relay competitions over the weekend.

The championship event is the climatic end of the BC Cup series, which began in December.

The event will feature some of Canada’s finest cross-country skiers.

“Many of the participants will be national and provincial team level athletes and will use this event to prepare for national competitions later in the month,” said Mike Edwards, Telemark general manager and competition director.

Skiers of all ages will take part, from U10 to senior and master skiers.

According to Telemark, the focus of youth races is on identifying skiers who are invited to compete for provincial and national teams.

All events start and end in the stadium near the main area of ​​the lodge.
