Kelowna police are investigating after a teenager said a man grabbed her arm while jogging.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday along McClain Road near June Spring Road.

The 18-year-old woman said she tried to run from a man who was standing near a vehicle.

Then he grabbed her arm, she said.

However, she managed to withdraw and immediately ran home.

The officers searched the area but found no one.

The woman gave the police the following description of the man:

She said the vehicle he was standing next to was a newer four-door black SUV model with a silver roof rack.

“We do not currently know what the suspect was up to, but we are working hard to resolve this incident,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy.

“We ask anyone who has been in the area and seen something or has a dash cam or surveillance video of the incident to contact us immediately. We also ask anyone who recognizes this suspect or this vehicle description to give us a call. ”
