A 36-year-old man was arrested in connection with a knife stab in which the victim was taken to Kelowna Hospital yesterday morning with serious injuries.
RCMP officers were called to a house in the 1200 block of Brookside Avenue in Kelowna before 7:30 a.m. on March 15 after receiving reports that a man had been attacked with a sharp weapon, according to an RCMP news release.
The victim was taken to Kelowna General Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
Police officers arrested a 36-year-old man shortly afterwards in connection with the incident. The man was released on conditions for a future court hearing.
The results of the RCMP during its investigation will be presented to the BC prosecutor for review.
Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy, the Kelowna RCMP’s media officer, said officials were confident the incident posed no risk to the public.
The RCMP is not currently disclosing any additional information and is encouraging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
