The ice skating at Stuart Park Rink is coming to an end

The last day for free skate is February 28th

After a blisteringly cold week, temperatures are rising in Kelowna, meaning the outdoor skating season is coming to an end.

There is just over a week left to enjoy the free public skating at Stuart Park.

As the days get warmer, the ice becomes more difficult to maintain, which is why the city of Kelowna closes its ice rink on February 28th.

To ensure public safety amid COVID-19, all skate times on the Stuart Park outdoor lane must be booked in advance.

A reminder to those who book skate times for the rest of the month to make sure you check the live camera before heading to the rink, especially if it’s a warm day. Mild temperatures could potentially lead to unscheduled ice rink closures for ice maintenance, which are noted on the active camera.
