Lori Stevenson is the new leader of Dress for Success Kelowna.

The organization’s board of directors announced Monday that Stevenson, who has more than 20 years of business, governance and policy development experience in the nonprofit space, is its new executive director.

“My past roles and experiences have played a major role in shaping my values ​​and instilling in me a desire to serve and provide opportunities for others to advance,” Stevenson said in a press release. “I look forward to devoting my passion for community, relationship and capacity building to help Dress for Success expand its reach and influence throughout the Okanagan.”

Dress for Success Kelowna is only two years old, but it has already helped more than 150 women gain economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attitude and development tools to help them thrive in work and life. It is an affiliate of the international Dress for Success Worldwide, which is based in New York.

“We are delighted that Lori will be leading Dress for Success Kelowna,” chairwoman Bree Hankins said. “She will work to continue our mission and intensify our ability to provide assistance and meaningful outcomes to the many women we continue to serve in our community.

“I admire Lori’s passion to support the community we all live in. She is dedicated and talented, and we are thrilled to have her join our team as executive director.”
