Heavy snow falls on Rogers Pass on Thursday morning.

UPDATE 11:05 am

While some snow fell overnight on the Okanagan Connector, heavy snow continues to fall on Rogers Pass in the east.

On Thursday morning, large snowflakes fall on the high mountain pass that connects Revelstoke and Golden. The summit is 1,330 meters above sea level.

Trees along the highway and parts of the road are covered with snow. As one of the best backcountry ski destinations in the country, the pre-season snow will delight skiers and boarders.

The Coquihalla summit has been free of snow since Thursday morning.

The winter tire requirement for high mountain passes came into force in BC on October 1st.
