Kelowna was barely visible from Knox Mountain in late July.

After a prolonged period of clear blue skies for the later part of summer, some smoke may return to the Okanagan for a short period of time.

A smoke-filled sky bulletin was issued on Saturday morning for the entire Okanagan Valley.

“Cooler night temperatures and light incoming winds have created favorable conditions for smoke to spread along the Okanagan Valley,” says the bulletin.

“The smoke is expected to clear in most areas by Sunday afternoon.”

From Saturday morning there will be some haze over Kelowna.

Most of interior BC has been in smoke for several weeks this summer as hundreds of fires burned across the province.

Temperatures are expected to stay in the mid-20s through next week, with sunshine and partly cloudy days.
