Both Kelowna Christian School Knights and Heritage Christian School Saints will have two teams in the BC Senior A High School basketball championships in Abbotsford and Langley next week.

<who>Image Credit: Contributed </who>The Kelowna Christian School Knights won the Okanagan Valley Senior A girls’ basketball championship this weekend and will represent the zone in the BC Senior A High School basketball championship tournament in Langley. <p>The KCS Knights girls’ team is the only one of the four to go to the Fraser Valley as Okanagan champions.</p>

Guard Naomi Kent, a BC team player, led the Knights in the title fight and was named Greatest Player of the Game Brianna GrandoThe strong rebound from KCS set the pace for a 61:30 victory in the semifinals. Ashley Overby led the Knights’ 61-18 inaugural win over St. Ann’s of Kamloops in their opener.

<p>The Saints were only three points ahead at halftime and drove away with a 28-6 run in the third quarter.</p>

For the boys, Heritage was third in the province and fell back in the championship game on Similkameen with 86:80.

<p>In their opening game of the tournament, which featured five of the province’s top 10 teams, the Saints reached the No. 9 Osoyoos 85-62.</p>

Ray Barrett an average of 17 points per game and Ben Robideau has an average of 15 per game. Isaac opuama and Isaiah Akurienne Average of 13 or 11 rebounds per game.

Meanwhile, the KCS Knights finished third in the Valley tournament but are still considered serious contenders for a provincial title as the # 2 team ahead of the Okanagan Championship.

The Knights opened the Valley Tournament with an 85:30 loss to St. Ann, but fell 60:57 to Similkameen in the semifinals. You beat Host Barrier 84-47 in third place
