Kelowna RCMP officials found more illicit drugs this week after issuing a search warrant related to drug trafficking in a Rutland home.

The Kelowna RCMP Community Safety Unit this week seized the illicit drugs from an apartment building on the 300 block of Mallach Road in Kelowna, the RCMP said in a press release.

Two men were arrested and detained at the scene for pending BC-wide arrest warrants on unrelated matters.

“During the search of the residence, police confiscated quantities of suspicious methamphetamine, crack cocaine and fentanyl,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy of the Kelowna RCMP in the press release.

Last week, in an independent investigation, police officers found illegal drugs in a location on the 100 block of Prior Road South in Kelowna.

No charges have currently been filed, but the investigation is still ongoing. The results of the investigation will be forwarded to the Crown Attorney for review and approval.
