Police seek for suspects after armed theft in Okanagan Falls – Kelowna Capital Information

Several police vehicles sped through Penticton Thursday morning (April 1) after an armed robbery in Okanagan Falls, where police are still looking for a suspect.

Police were first made aware of a break-in and theft at a store on the 4300 block of Weyerhauser Road in Okanagan Falls shortly after 5 a.m. on Thursday.

Shortly after an employee of the affected company observed a black truck with stolen property parked in a cabin on 201 Forest Service Road.

The clerk was approaching the truck when a man and woman emerged from behind the truck and the man pointed a gun at the clerk. Police said the man then fled into the truck, leaving the woman behind.

The officers located the 29-year-old Okanagan Falls woman and took her into custody. The officers later located the unoccupied truck in a familiar residence on Cedar Court. The truck was previously stolen from Armstrong, BC.

The male suspect has not yet been found. He is described as a Caucasian in his 40s and wears a black hat and brown jacket.

Penticton RCMP is soliciting public support for information regarding this incident.

If you were in the 4300 Weyerhauser Road, 201 FSR, or Cedar Court area between 4:30 and 7:00 on April 1st and witnessed a black truck or have a dash camera, the police would love to be with you speak.
