The Kelowna RCMP is currently investigating a second case of a man trying to lure children into his vehicle.
The incident happened on March 22nd when a man approached four young girls on Forest Edge Road in Kelowna at around 3:45 p.m. and asked them if they wanted to get into his vehicle. The girls said no and ran to a relative’s house.
According to a press release from Kelowna RCMP, police are trying to get a description of the man and vehicle, but few details are known at this time.
“The children did everything right in this situation. This incident is worrying and we are working hard to gather more information and identify the driver involved in this report,” said Kelowna RCMP Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in the publication. “In general, please remember that you should never attempt to interact with or take in children you do not know. If you are concerned about a child in the community, please call the police in your jurisdiction immediately to and we will follow up and ensure your safety. “
A similar one was reported to the Kelowna RCMP, which happened the same day.
Kelowna RCMP reports that a man in his vehicle approached two boys on Arbor View Drive in Kelowna at around 1:30 p.m. on March 22nd and asked them if they would like to get into his vehicle. The boys said no and the man drove away, but was seen several times by them around this time.
