UPDATE 7:35 p.m.

The heavily armed emergency team from the southeast district has now arrived at the scene.

The homeowner tells the Castanet police that they are not sure if anyone is still in the house or not, but they are careful.

The same house was raided by police about three months ago to issue an arrest warrant for someone who did not live in the house, the homeowner says.

The owner was unable to comment on any suspected criminal activity by the tenants.

The Kelowna RCMP surrounded a house in Rutland.

The officers have removed several people from a house on Leathead Road, 700 blocks, and are calling the residence to persuade others who are believed to be in the house.

Local residents say the house in question has frequent police visits.

Leathead Road is closed in the area.
