The RCMP is investigating after an overturned kayak was found in Mission Creek.
Officials and firefighters were called to Pasadena Road and Hollywood Road South at around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
They were told three people were seen leaving the area and a witness reported that the trio said a kayak was lost.
A kayak was found a short time later.
But the police want more information about the incident, “because the witness statements cannot currently be confirmed”.
“Police also want to confirm the welfare and safety of the person associated with the kayak at Mission Creek,” added the RCMP.
