A puppy stolen from a vehicle in West Kelowna earlier this week has been reunited with its owner.

According to an RCMP press release, a Central Okanagan dog control officer discovered the stolen puppy yesterday, February 25, just after 9 a.m. on Lawrence Avenue near Gordon Drive in Kelowna. The puppy was removed from a vehicle in West Kelowna on February 23. RCMP does not say whether the puppy was left unattended in the vehicle or whether and where the vehicle was parked. The police do not say what breed the dog is.

The RCMP were called and officers located the dog in a house on the 1100 block of Centennial Crescent. It was given to the dog control officer who reunited the puppy with its owner.

According to the RCMP, officers also found a stolen bike in the house and it was returned to its owner.

No charges were brought, but the RCMP said the investigation was still ongoing.
