Okanagan Task Force founder Kane Blake says he had some unusual visitors overnight at his Lake Country home.

Blake posted photos and video online of what looks like wolves.

“A lot of people say they’re wolves. I’ve had a couple of people say coyotes. I didn’t see it firsthand. Outside. Kind of interesting that at 2:10 in the morning, three of them show up, “Blake tells Castanet

Blake spends most of his time outdoors and is used to seeing wildlife but he says this is a new experience for him.

“They’re not rare but they’re usually in the bush. The paw prints are huge. They’re bigger than the palm of my hand,” Blake estimates the animals he saw on his surveillance cameras weigh around 120 pounds.

Blake says he has a pet Yorkie but he’s not concerned about his pet dog. “Not but definitely interesting.”

It is more common to see coyotes in the Okanagan than wolves but with more than 8,500 wolves listed in the province, it is not that unusual to spot a wolf, although they are typically seen in West Kelowna and in the Peachland area.
