Nineteen industrial spaces proposed for newly zoned land on Appaloosa Road – Kelowna News

A new industrial project has been proposed for Appaloosa Road in north Kelowna.

The proposal calls for 19 units that are all two storeys, with each one providing both main floor and mezzanine space. One building will have 10 units totaling 19,170 square feet, while the other will have nine in 17,777 square feet.

The property was recently rezoned to general industrial along with 10 other properties in the neighborhood.

“We believe this proposal will establish a high standard of quality for commercial and industrial buildings in a newly zoned neighborhood,” Urban Options Planning Corp. wrote in its application letter for a development permit. “Given the conformance to local bylaws and the Official Community Plan, we believe this project provides positive development in a desirable industrial location for the City of Kelowna.”

The property, which is located at 3169 Appaloosa Rd., would feature 109 parking spots.
