A new Stronger Together project uses a social networking health app to connect patients to resources like online counseling and daily health trackers.
University of British Columbia researchers from the Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Management have partnered with Curatio to provide virtual health support during the pandemic.
The Stronger Together project uses Curatio’s social network health app to connect patients to expert resources, online counseling, daily health trackers, and social connection opportunities.
“Patients face unique challenges in accessing health resources during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Kathleen Martin Ginis, director of CCDPM at UBC Okanagan.
“We need to fill these gaps and help patients build social connections that can improve their health and wellbeing.”
Lynda Brown-Ganzert, CEO of Curatio, knew how to reduce the burden on the health system. Patients had to stay at home with other options.
“Current participants have already seen improvements in their health literacy and outcomes by using our private and secure platform,” says Brown-Ganzert.
