Kelowna’s Rona Store was named Best Wholesale Retailer at the Outstanding Retailer Awards 2021 Gala in Boucherville, Que. on Tuesday.
Organized by Hardlines, the home improvement retail association, the competition recognized the best players in the home improvement and hardware industry in Canada in a number of categories.
The Kelowna Rona was the first major store in Kelowna to open 30 years ago. It employs more than 220 people.
“Running a big box store requires a large team that can work together effectively. The Rone Kelowna team did just that, ”said Michael McLarney, President of Hardlines Inc.
“We are all very proud of our success and are honored to be recognized by the ORAs,” said branch manager Matt Wachter in a press release from Lowe’s parent company.
