“The crews have made significant progress in containing the wildfire at Mount Law,” the statement said. “The evacuation order and warning areas related to the Mount Law forest fire have been reduced to allow most residents to return to their properties.”

Seventeen properties remain on evacuation orders. These are:

  • 3713 to 3725 Emerald Street

  • 3658 to 3760 Gates Road

  • 3250 Autobahn 97

  • 3660 to 3680 McIver Road

  • 3704 to 3770 Turnbull Road

Another 477 properties are still on evacuation alert.

Further details on these properties can be found here.

“Returning residents are reminded that they can be exposed to various dangers from the forest fire on private property,” the statement said. “Burned trees with few or no branches have limited structural support and can fall at any time. Burning root structures make the surrounding soil unstable and extremely hot. ”

In some areas, electricity may still fail, so some foods in fridges and freezers may not be safe to eat.
