The Michaelbrook Golf Course is under new management.

The 53 acre golf course property in Kelowna’s Lower Mission has been sold.

Jeff Hudson and Marshall McAnerney of HM Commercial Group made the announcement.

The property began as a lawn farm in the 1970s before expanding into a golf course.

“It’s been a great drive and privilege to run this golf course over the past eight years,” said owners Tom and Betty Stanbrook.

“We’re staying at the Okanagan, but it’s time to pass the torch on to a new group that can bring in the energy and capital to take them to the next level.”

The course was bought by local buyers under the direction of Nadean Ostrom.

“Our family has been in Michaelbrook for over 20 years, so the opportunity to own this property is a dream come true. We won’t be making any major changes and will continue to keep this hidden gem as a getaway for all ages, “Ostrom said.

“The current employees remain in place and we look forward to their input and experiences with future improvements. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones on the course.”

The course is located in the agricultural land reserve and remains a golf course.

The property includes an 18-hole, 3,721-yard course, clubhouse, restaurant, and four bedroom home.

The HM Commercial Group is licensed with Macdonald Realty Kelowna.
