Construction on the Lakeshore Bridge over Bellevue Creek is scheduled to begin Monday, July 26th, and will affect bridge traffic for at least three days through Wednesday, July 28th.

Traffic will be reduced to one-way traffic and northbound traffic will be allowed on Lakeshore Road between Collett Road and Keith Road to allow crews to finish pouring the bridge deck. Southbound traffic will be diverted to McClure Road or Dehart Road.

Commercial truck traffic will continue to use the existing diversion, pedestrian access will be maintained via the existing pedestrian bridge, while cyclists will be encouraged to use alternative routes.

Construction on this $ 2.7 million project began in March and is expected to be completed in September. These improvements will extend the life of the existing bridge, increase safety and connect the multipurpose path from the north side of the bridge to Collett Road. Once completed, two lanes for vehicle traffic, cycle lanes in each direction and a multi-purpose path will ensure a smoother flow of traffic.
