A 21-year-old woman is currently in police custody following an attempted robbery in a Kelowna store.
RCMP officers in Kelowna received a report that a woman had entered a store in the 1900 block on Pandosy Street, made a knife, and asked for money just before 8:20 a.m. on September 10
The woman allegedly threatened staff, snatched goods and fled the area on foot, the RCMP said in a press release.
Police officers flooded the area and arrested the suspect without incident.
“Fortunately, no one was injured in this robbery,” said Kelowna RCMP spokesman Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in the publication.
The Kelowna woman remains in custody and the matter has been referred to the British Columbia Prosecutor for review.
