The Kirschner Mountain Development in Kelowna was sold for $ 22 million.

The transaction was sold to a Manitoba buyer and is the largest MLS property sale in the history of the Association of Interior Realtors.

“Transactions like this show that the demand for real estate in Kelowna and the surrounding communities where our members work is growing at remarkable rates,” said George Greenwood, the association’s CEO.

Mark Boppre, a longtime realtor in Okanagan, and Max Carbone, owner of Century 21 Assurance Realty Ltd., jointly listed the property in late 2019.

“The C21 Assurance Commercial Group is proud to broker this historic deal on behalf of the Kirschner family,” said Carbone.

Allan, Don, and Gordon Kirschner owned the project. Her father started it all when he bought 640 acres for a ranch in 1958. Kirschner Mountain was founded in 2003 by the Kirschner family, who completed the first four phases of single-family properties from 2019. The rest of the property is planned for mixed-use residential and commercial buildings.

“We are excited about the future of Kirschner Mountain and we are very proud that our family is part of the legacy and heritage of our community,” said Alan, the oldest of the Kirschner brothers.
