Spring has begun, which means a thing for the marsupial fanatic contingent in Okanagan.

The Kangaroo Creek Farm is about to open.

The popular company, which offers a unique selection of creatures from kangaroos to capybaras that locals can gently interact with, opens its doors on April 29 with the intention of closing in October.

It is planned to be open seven days a week, including weekends and holidays, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gates close at 3 p.m.

Due to COVID-19, there are some precautionary measures.

Taking these precautions, this year they added Debit / Credit and encouraged guests to type. The admissions staff will be behind plexiglass signs wiping the debit / credit machines when the tap option is not in use. Adults are charged USD 12, children and teenagers are charged USD 6, seniors 65 years + USD 6, children up to 4 years free.

There will be a hand washing station and people will be asked to wash their hands before coming to the farm.

Physical distancing is also required.

Kangaroo Creek Farm is located at 5932 Old Vernon Road, near the north end of Kelowna Airport, at the intersection of Old Vernon Road and Postill Lake Road.
