Several Kelowna and West Kelowna companies are competing for the Small Business BC Awards 2021.

There are currently 12 companies from the two cities collecting some votes in hopes of making it to the finals and competing for awards.

From Kelowna you can keep up to date, Bookkeeping Services Now, Easy Perks, Total Restoration Services Inc., Upside Cider, Kathryn Ramsay Esthetics, Travel Pros for Enchanted Vacation, John Bachelder Construction Ltd., Okanagan Insulation Services, and Sold Signs Rock Inc. was nominated for different categories.

West Kelowna’s Enlight Designs was nominated.

The 12 companies have nominations in the following categories: Best Community Impact, Best Innovation, Best Solopreneur, and Premier’s People’s Choice.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there are some changes to the prize gala this year. In recent years, the award ceremony took place in one night at the Vancouver Convention Center. This year, however, the gala will take place for three days from May 4th to 6th.

This year, a new category has been added to the lineup: Best Solopreneur Award, which, according to Small Business BC, recognizes “adaptable and hard-working business owners who work alone and run their business on their own”.

Voting for these companies is open until the end of the day on March 7th. The five best finalists will be announced on March 22nd with presentations from May 4th to 6th.
