Kelowna RCMP is searching for attempted robbery suspects
The incident occurred on the 800 block off Rutland Road North
The Kelowna RCMP is seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect in an attempted robbery.
Police said that around 8 p.m. on February 18, a man walked into a grocery store along the 800 block of Rutland Road North.
He allegedly brandished what looked like bear spray and asked the clerk for money.
Then he fled the store without taking anything after the clerk called another worker in the back of the store.
“Fortunately, no one was injured in this attempted robbery,” said Cpl. Said Jocelyn Noseworthy.
The suspect is described as:
- Caucasian
- with a thin physique
- 6’3 “in height
At the time of the incident, he was wearing a gray hoodie, a blue headscarf with a white pattern, and a pinkish-brown backpack.
