It’s been a year since Kelowna Mounties responded to complaints about gunfire near Trumpeter Court and found a man sitting dead in the front seat of a vehicle.
The Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit investigated and determined that it was a targeted shootout. Despite a thorough investigation, no arrests have been made at this point.
“Hoping to advance our investigation, we identify the deceased as 29-year-old Amanpreet Bal, who recently moved from the lower mainland to the Kelowna area,” said Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy in a press release.
“We believe this shooting was related to ongoing criminal activity at the time, the details of which we are not making public.”
