The Kelowna Raiders won the first game of their three best finals in the Thompson-Okanagan Senior Lacrosse League.
The Raiders defeated the Armstrong Shamrocks 7-4 on Wednesday night.
Their strong defensive play was complemented by excellent goalkeeping from Graham Cousins, who kept Shamrock’s snipers in check for much of the game.
For Kelowna, Jordan Urban scored with a couple, while Victor Wiens, Brendan Urban, Joe Brown, Cody Ridden and Captain Jacob Illichmann each added singles.
The two teams will meet again for the second game in the series on Friday, July 24th in Kelowna.
