RCMP found a vehicle but not the driver after an incident on Highway 33 between Kelowna and Beaverdell yesterday, March 24th, around 11:30 a.m.

Police received a call from a vehicle reporting an unpredictable driver driving north on the freeway.

A short time later, the caller reported that the vehicle had collided with his vehicle, forced it off the road, and then fled the scene.

Police closed the highway near Trapping Creek Forest Service Road while investigating the incident, but the road has since been reopened.

The suspicious vehicle was found, but the police could not find the driver.

“At this time, the extent and nature of the injuries suffered by the driver and front passenger of the vehicle being pushed off the road is unknown,” said an RCMP press release.
