A local man was arrested over the weekend after setting off the commercial alarm on a shop in downtown Kelowna.

The RCMP received a report around 4:40 a.m. on Saturday that the 41-year-old was illegally in a store on the 400 block of Bernard Avenue.

The officers immediately visited the scene and found the man inside.

He was arrested without incident.

He has since been released on the terms of a future court hearing and the matter is being referred to the British Columbia Attorney’s Office for review.
