Have you seen this piece of equipment? Mike Williamson, show superintendent of the Kelowna Kennel Club, said the club’s stolen trailer was found, but some expensive equipment is still missing.

The Kelowna Kennel Club’s missing trailer was recovered, according to Show Superintendent Mike Williamson.
Williamson told Castanet Thursday evening that the RCMP had found the trailer – which was reported stolen early Wednesday morning – which contained all of the equipment used for the kennel club’s annual dog show.
Williamson said he hadn’t taken a good look at the recovered trailer, but noticed that a lock on one of the trailer doors had been severed and some larger items that were being stored in the trailer were still missing.
“Some of the big items, like some of our obedience gear and the like, are missing, but I really can’t tell what’s completely missing now,” said Williamson.
He said he would do a full assessment of the remaining contents of the trailer in the morning.
“That type of equipment that is missing is still quite expensive, so it would be nice to get it back without having to replace it.”
Anyone who sees stolen items for sale is encouraged to contact the RCMP or the Kelowna Kennel Club.

For the Kelowna Kennel Club, the show may not go on.
Her trailer, which contains all of the gear for the Kennel Club’s annual dog show, was stolen outside Show Superintendent Mike Williamson’s shop in West Kelowna early Wednesday morning.
“We checked some security footage from neighboring companies and found that a truck picked it up and drove it away,” said Williamson.
The trailer was parked in a parking lot next to Jazz’s Grooming and Training Center at 2109 Louie Drive.
Everything that belonged to the Kelowna Kennel Club was in the trailer. Williamson said it included some pieces that he made himself.
Williamson says it will be difficult to host the Kennel Club show next year, which usually takes place on the long May weekend, unless their gear is found or somehow replaced.
“It’s daunting to a lot of people,” he said. “You wouldn’t be very happy with what’s going on. At some point we would have to pick it up and try to put something back on, but at the moment the club has absolutely no equipment. “
