Another Okanagan business is stepping up to show its love and support for healthcare workers.

Calvin Beres, the owner of two Jiffy Lubes, is offering free oil changes to the first 100 Interior Health employees at his two locations, starting Monday, September 13, 2021.

Beres tells Castanet he decided to do something special for frontline healthcare workers after the protest outside of Kelowna General Hospital.

“They’re not the people who need to be protested against. We want to show we care about them and the community is standing with them,” Beres says.

The generous offer is for all Interior Health workers and is being offered at both of Beres’ Jiffy Lube locations, one on 1995 Harvey Ave in Kelowna and the other on 3010 Louis Dr. in West Kelowna.

“Come on in and show us your Interior Health badge and the first 100 people who come in get a free oil change,” Beres says.

The generous offer is strictly first come first serve and Beres says he will be fully staffed starting Monday and he is prepared to go as long as it takes until he reaches the 100 free oil change mark.
