Kelowna business license renewals for 2019 due next week

With a new calendar year comes the need for business owners in Kelowna to renew their licenses.

Anyone operating a business within Kelowna city limits has until 4 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 15 to do so.

<p>All registered operating businesses were mailed a renewal notice in December.</p>
<p>Business licenses can be renewed by:</p>
<ul>
<li>Going online to pay with a Visa or Mastercard at kelowna.ca/onlineservices.  The access code provided on your renewal notice is needed.</li>
<li>Visit in person at City Hall for payments by cheque, money order, debit or cash.</li>
<li>Mail a check or money order to: City Hall Business Licensing, 1435 Water Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1J4.</li>
</ul>
<p>Updates or changes to an existing business license can be made by calling 250-469-8960 or emailing developmentservicesinfo@kelowna.ca.</p>
<p>For any business no longer operating, licenses can be canceled by calling 250-469-8617 or emailing businesslicences@kelowna.ca.</p>
<p>Mobile business licenses are also available for an extra $150 per year for those doing business in more than one community but with only one fixed location.</p>
