Grant Sheridan was President and GM of the Kelowna Chiefs
A local business leader has died after battling bacterial meningitis.
Grant Sheridan, President and GM of the Kelowna Chiefs of KIJHL and founding partner of the Peacock Sheridan Group, passed away overnight in hospital.
“It is extremely sad to say we lost Grant last night,” said a post on the Kelowna Chiefs’ Facebook page.
“He died peacefully in his sleep in Kelowna General Hospital. Grant that you made the world a better place. Just take a rest, my friend. “
Sheridan was hospitalized en route during the Chiefs playoff series against the Revelstoke Grizzles in March.
He was then taken to the trauma department of the Royal Inland Hospital before going to Kelowna General Hospital, where he spent his final months.
