Kelowna RCMP is investigating a robbery at a company in the Rutland neighborhood.

On May 9, just before 3 p.m., a man walked into a shop on the 1400 block of Highway 33 W in Kelowna, where he was allegedly making a gun and asking for cash, according to an RCMP news release. He fled the scene with an unknown amount of money.

RCMP has not identified the company.

The officers conducted a thorough search of the area but did not find the suspect.

The suspect was described as a Caucasian man. He wore sunglasses, a hood, a black jacket, a backpack, and a medical mask on the bottom.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to report to the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 or to remain anonymous by calling CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
