Earls Restaurant in downtown Kelowna is one of two companies that Interior Health had to shut down this week due to COVID-19 transmission.

Earls on Top Restaurant at 211 Bernard Avenue was closed June 18-27.

AFA Forestry Products was closed from June 16 to June 21.

The closings were ordered under powers given to health officials earlier this year by Provincial Health Commissioner Dr. Bonnie Henry were granted.

Any deal that has been found to have carried over and at least three cases can be closed.

“When a closure is ordered, WorkSafeBC delivers the closure notice and assists the workplace in reviewing and improving security plans as needed,” says Interior Health online.
