The Interior Wildlife Rehabilitation Society is preparing to build their first home to help injured and orphaned animals.
To this end, it is running its first fundraising campaign.
The Wild About Spring online auction started on May 1st and will run until Monday, May 24th. The goal of the silent auction is $ 150,000 for the organization’s first center.
“We were just amazed and delighted with the response from local businesses and individuals across the Okanagan Valley,” said Eva Hartmann, founder and president of IWRS, in a press release. “It is thanks to our donors who have so generously donated so many really special and unique items to support our fundraising goal. Thank you to all new friends and supporters for your generosity. “
Auction items include British Columbia getaways and experiences, nature works of art, wildlife photography, home improvement services, gardening supplies, unique trinkets, spa and shopping gift cards, and gift baskets filled with everything from local wine and craft beer to health and beauty products to individual animal portraits. There is even a robotic pool cleaner.
